I would like to express my gratitude for all the beautiful presents I received during the holidays. I cannot tell you the last time I received a Christmas present on Christmas. That was not the most important part of Christmas for me. The part that meant the most to me was all the love I received from the members of the Church (OGOT). The program is showing me that you guys love me and it shows through all the effort you put into each individual recovery process I go through. Everyone connected with The Light of Truth Center cared enough for me to see to it I would live another day and to live life to the fullest. I love each and everyone of you. Again, thank you for letting me see the real meaning of Christmas.

We feel that is is never too late to give thanks for gifts that were given, dinners that were prepared and the many food share packages that were donated.
We are truly grateful for each and every individual that contributed to making the best Christmas ever at The Light of Truth Center, Inc. Many of the women in the house had not celebrated Christmas in quite some time. What we sometimes take for granted is the very thing that means the most to someone else.
A very special thanks to Paula and Denise for your hospitality and delicious meal. Thank you for inviting The Light of Truth Center, Inc. Board, Staff, and LTC residents into your home for the holidays. We were well fed, both in body and spirit.
So, with grateful and full hearts, thank you again for being a light in the lives of the women at The Light of Truth Center. Your gifts, time, love, and monetary donations are truly appreciated.

WOW! Can you believe the year is almost over? We hope that your year was one of growth, change, excitement, and wonder. Just a little reflection of ours.
During the course of this year we have learned that "Gratitude is powerful magic. It can, before your eyes, transform disheartening failure into viral opportunity, it can transmute brokenness and sorrow into radiant joy, it can transcend the base and common into a treasure of gold. Gratitude is the food of the soul." (K. Allen Kay) In saying that - our souls are well fed.
We are grateful for all that you have done for us throughout the year. You may not have thought it was much; however, if we just crossed your mind and you sent us a prayer of well wishes and success, know that it was heard. We have learned that "every thought is a prayer,” and we are thankful for yours.
As I sit here and think of all the wonderful changes that have taken place, I'm looking out the window and it's snowing. I'm safe and warm. How about you?
The snow didn't' last long. However, think about this...the first snowfall of winter for me brings wonder and excitement for I know the season of change is truly in the air and winter is really here. Yet imagine for the population of women that we serve, it means it is time to find a "safe, supportive place" to live and to move from off the streets. Wow. Can you imagine yourself, or a loved one in that situation. Well, that's why we're here. We know the challenges that women face and for the past 11 years, have provided a safe and supportive environment to reclaim their lives. With your donation and support we continue to build lives from the inside out.
As the year draws to an end I am grateful for the new challenges that presented themselves as opportunities for growth, the many volunteers that showed up, called, and gave a hand, the many people who donated their time, talent, and treasures, the new organizations and foundations that believed in us and gave gifts of funding, the organizations that honored us with media stories and awards, and the board members of The Light of Truth Center that continue to give of themselves. I am filled with gratitude. The following thought came to me and we have taken a new stand. "that just cuz you're small don't mean you can't dream big.” We're dreaming even bigger for 2011. How bout you?
